Lawful basis for the processing
For operation of the Service, we may process personal data where necessary for legitimate interests, including providing access to the Service, maintaining security, preventing misuse, responding to user requests, monitoring performance, and improving functionality, except where overridden by users’ rights and freedoms. If an approved research program is active, research processing will be described in a separate consent form and privacy notice. We will rely on the lawful basis identified in those approved materials, which may include explicit consent and, where applicable, the GDPR and UK GDPR research provisions. Consent for research use is separate from consent for cookies or product analytics.
